Fishing has been great the last week. Both morning and afternoon trips have produced lots of action. 70-90 fow is about as far as you need to go out right now. The fish are hungry and feisty.
Spoons, meat and flies have all been working. It does seem that you do need the variety to keep the bite going. Riggers down 50-60 high divers back 120-150 low divers back 70-110. 200-300 coppers have been best. I would mix up the baits so you have a variety of baits at different depths and then you can adjust depending on what the fish are telling you. Spoons on the riggers early but then switching to flies later seemed to work well for us. Meat rig on the chute has been harvesting salmon from the depths.
Fishing is as good as it gets. If you can figure out a way to get on the water now is the best time of the year to do it. I wouldn’t wait to book a trip or to find a friend to get out and experience this fantastic fishery.
